They are made to screw into a standard 120 Volt Socket that is Rated for a minimum of 160 Watts
These bulbs look great in landscape settings where you have an enclosed fixture and have been using a halogen bulb of 160 Watts or more.
This type of bulb provides a blueish hue to the light.
The bulb is self ballasted so it can go into a fixture that takes a standard light bulb
It is important that the socket and fixture be rated for a minimum of 160 Watts
