This item includes a 5 tap ballast allowing for the use of 480 volt installations.

 It is an efficient source of light with a bulb life up to 8 times that of an incandescent light source.

 Has  a borosillicate glass lens and an aluminum reflector for efficient light distribution.

The back of the housing has has cast-in knockouts for mounting holes and attaches to almost all standard recessed junction boxes.

Metal Halide provide a nice white light source vs High Pressure Sodium which has a yellow cast.
